Mr. Hillary Kapoteza

Hilary Kapoteza is a Medical Laboratory specialist with more than 10years of work experience of service delivery and program level implementation. In the past 10 years Hilary has attained professional positions of Medical Laboratory Technologists, Deputy Laboratory Manager, Laboratory Advisor, National Viral load and Early Infant Diagnosis (EID) Coordinator and Quality Assurance Manager.

Hilary has significantly contributed to the success of Malawi Viral load and EID program through service delivery as a laboratory technologist performing laboratory tests and as a program coordinator. Hilary contributed to the set-up of the viral load and EID program. He was also key in setting up new Molecular Laboratories in Malawi at Kamuzu Central Hospital, Partners in Hope and Zomba Central Hospital.

Hilary has Bachelors degree in Medical Laboratory Technology from University of Malawi, College of Medicine and he has also attended extensive in service trainings on Laboratory Management, Quality Assurance and Sample transport (IATA certified) just to mention a few.

Hilary has interest in continuous improvement of systems, research, leadership and resource mobilization.
