Mr. Elias Chipofya

Elias is a Medical Laboratory Scientist who holds a BTech in Biomedical Technology from Nelson Mandela University, South Africa. Currently, he works with Thyolo District Hospital. He is passionate about laboratory medicine and the opportunity to strengthen laboratory quality management systems leading to improved quality testing. His considerable experience with the International Federation of Clinical Chemistry and Laboratory Medicine (IFCC) and African Federation of Clinical Chemistry quality specialists and consultants has supported his long-standing commitment and success to date. He has a strong understanding of quality management systems including, but not limited to, quality system implementation, design controls and audits of the system. He is the National Representative of Malawi to IFCC and AFCC
